2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin. When you visit, technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system) is processed in server log files to deliver the site securely and reliably (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The servers are located in Germany. A data processing agreement is in place with the provider (Art. 28 GDPR). More information: www.strato.de/datenschutz/.

3. Cookies and consent

We set one technically necessary cookie (“ykc_consent”) that stores your choice in the cookie banner, and one (“ykc_lang”) that stores your chosen language (§ 25 (2) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). External services such as Google Maps load only after you consent (§ 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

4. Google Maps

The map in the location section does not load automatically. It loads only after you click “Load Google Maps” or consent to “Maps & external media” in the cookie banner. Only then does your browser connect to Google’s servers (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google may then process technical data such as your IP address, including in the USA (EU-US Data Privacy Framework). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Links to directions and reviews on Google open Google only after you click them. See Google’s privacy policy for details.

5. Contact by phone or WhatsApp

We currently take table reservations and catering and MAYAS enquiries by phone and WhatsApp. No online form that sends data to us or to our server is used on this website. When you contact us, we process your details (e.g. name, phone number, date, number of guests, type of event, message) to handle your request and, where applicable, to prepare or perform a contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR), and otherwise on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

For table reservations you can use the reservation window. Your details (date, time, number of guests, name and optionally your phone number) are only put together into a WhatsApp message in your browser. They are not stored and not sent to our server. We only receive them when you send the prepared message in WhatsApp yourself.

WhatsApp links on this website are plain links: WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland) opens only after you click, and the message is pre-filled but sent only when you send it yourself. WhatsApp’s privacy policy applies to its processing, and data may be transferred to the USA. If you prefer not to use WhatsApp, please call us.

We delete your details once your request is complete, unless statutory retention periods apply (e.g. up to 10 years for commercial and tax records if a contract is concluded).

6. Social media

We link to our Instagram profile with a plain link only. No plugins are embedded, and no data is transferred unless you click the link; Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.’s privacy policy then applies.

7. Fonts

All fonts are served locally from our own server. No connection to Google Fonts is made.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21 GDPR), and you may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, e.g. the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.
